While many go to great lengths to get rid of raccoons, this guy spends $ 2,000 a month feeding them.

Jim Blackwood, a retired Canadian police officer named “Raccoon Whisperer,” feeds more than two dozen raccoons on a porch almost every night.

It all started when his wife saved an orphan from raccoons 20 years ago. After they are breastfed and released into the wild, they keep coming back. And over time, they brought their friends. Then more and more friends.

Blackwood has been feeding them night after night since 2003 when his wife died of cancer as her death wish was to take care of her.

He uses the advertising revenue he collects from the viral feed’s quick videos to buy food for the animals, which costs $ 2000 a month.

He mainly feeds them sausage and dog food, but sometimes cooks and bakes them.

While the video is wonderfully cute, wildlife experts strongly recommend avoiding feeding the wildlife as this can make them sick and increase their population.
