The “magical” image of a half-extinct tiger, walking with its cubs, is spreading

It is sad to think about how many animals are endangered, but they will always have a chance as long as there are people willing to fight for them.

The only thing that always gives us hope for this species is when new children are born, increasing the population and ensuring the survival of the new generation.

Because of this, one of the inspiring photographs went viral – it depicts a once endangered tiger mother walking happily down a path with her five cubs:

  • This is magical picture. Count the #cubs with #tigress. I know for a reason how few people will be elated after seeing this. Efforts are helping in making this species bounce back from verge of extinction. PC Siddharth Singh. Magical Terai. pic.twitter.com/ZIaMlUAxBj

The photo attributed to Siddhart Singh was tweeted by Indian forest officer Parvin Kaswan in the Terai region of northern India.

Parvin tweeted that this isn’t just a beautiful wildlife photo – it’s a sign of how far conservation efforts have come and a reason to “cheer up”.

“These efforts are helping this species recover from extinction,” he wrote.

India, which is currently home to 70% of the world’s tigers, is seeing a growing number of promising results in conservation efforts. The most recent tiger census showed that the population increased from 2,226 in 2014 to 2,967 in 2018.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared this country one of the largest and safest tiger habitats.

In this viral photo, a mother tigress and her five beautiful cubs are the faces of this unlikely recovery.

  • Beautiful!! So happy to see this majestic creature thrive and flourish..
