It always surprises me how heartless people can be. Neighbors say when a man in Phoenix, Arizona recently sold his house, they tossed their old sofa on the sidewalk and hugged their family dog!

A worried neighbor saw the dog take refuge on the old sofa and took some photos to post on social media. After making sure no one was bringing her back, she called Maricopa County Animal Control to pick her up.

The torturous photos caught the attention of animal advocates in the area and the shelter was filled with calls from concerned citizens asking how they could help the Couch Dog and urging the authorities to accuse the original dog owners of abandoning the animals to have.

The good news is that the three-year bull mix works well and was transferred to the Humane Society of Arizona after their custody at the shelter expired, according to ABC15 news report.v
