Dogs are frequently more perceptive of their owners’ well-being than the owners themselves. It’s as if our pups have a sixth sense, and sometimes that special perception pays off in huge ways.
When the Brousseaus’ dog Duke woke them up shaking in the middle of the night, they knew something was wrong. They didn’t know why their furry friend was so upset, but then they went to check on their 9-week-old baby, Harper.
The Brousseau family had owned their adopted dog Duke for six years when their daughter Harper was born.
Duke was an obedient dog, and the couple realized that he very protective of the new baby.
So when Duke climbed into their bed shaking and trying to wake them up one night, they knew something was very, very wrong.
Then, they went to check on Harper…
