A 4-year-old with a rare case of muscular dystrophy has called the hospital her home for the last four years. Finally, the little girl went home for the first time.

MahamNaz has celebrated her birthdays, and other family celebrations in the hospital. Although she requires all-round-the –clock care, her family is happy to have her back.

Maham has a condition that affects her muscles.She cannot even perform basic tasks such as eating or walking and takes her medications via a tube. Her family has designed their house to adapt to Maham’s needs. Her bedroom and bathroom are on the same floor.

Nomia, Maham’s mother, hopes they will leave a normal life. She appreciates the extra help from the hospital that allows Maham to fit into the daily routines. Maham’s sisters are excited to have back, and are doing activities that will make up for the lost time.
