When Love Bug, the poor pit bull puppy, arrived at Vet Ranch, he was literally two minutes away from euthanasia. He was walking into the euthanasia room when Dr. Matt received a desperate call saying he was the dog’s only hope. So Dr. Matt got into his truck, of course, and drove for an hour to pick up the 6 month old puppy from a shelter.

Vet Ranch took over Love Bug and worked hard to improve it. He had a very severe scab. The scab was open, bleeding, and smelled of a staph infection. Love Bug was very close to accepting his fate and surrendering. He didn’t have the energy to move on because of all the pain he was in.

But after a few weeks, Love Bug’s face recovered and he felt better than a “belly”.

And after three months? He is full of energy and a normal puppy again.
